Bad Design
Date: September 23, 2009
Pros: Comfortable, Optimal clarity
Cons: hinges break!

This is my second pair of Square Wires and guess what..they broke! Again! Same spot as my first pair of sunglasses! I love the glasses themselves...they look good...they fit good...no complaints. Reading the reviews for all the different colors, it sounds like the Square Wire in general is a bad design. Several people have commented on how the glasses broke right at the hinge. Same thing happened to me both times. My first pair of glasses happened within 3 months, and the second took another 6. I think this time I am going to take advantage of Oakley's upgrade plan and change sunglasses. It's not that I or anyone else by the sounds of the other reviews was really doing anything wrong when the glasses broke. I was just simply putting them on and as I was opening them up...*snap*..and they broke. And personally...I BABY everything I own. Prior to the Square Wires I had a pair of E Wire's I wore for 5 years until I lost them in a canoe roll-over.

Nice Style, But Fragile
Date: June 2, 2009
Pros: Comfortable
Cons: very fragile

These look Great, they fit great, but the arm has fallen off with just regular use 3 times now. The repair people are friendly and didn't charge for the second repair, but by the time the third repair was necessary I opted for another pair of glasses.

By the way, I treat these and all of my glasses with great care. It sems to be just a design flaw.
