Polarized GASCAN Sunglasses HIGH DEFINITION OPTICS® (HDO®) combines patented optics and PLUTONITE® lens material that provides 100% UV filtering and unsurpassed impact protection. Two lenses are cut from the curve of a single lens shield, then mounted in the frame to maintain the original, continuous contour. The look is so unique, we customized our corporate logo just for this eyewear. Lightweight O MATTER® frame material offers premium comfort. Peripheral vision is maximized by XYZ OPTICS®, an innovation that maintains visual clarity at all angles of view. Impact protection meets ANSI Z87.1 standards, and our Three-Point Fit retains the lenses in precise optical alignment. True metal icons sign this Oakley original. Our polarized lenses are specially engineered to block the blinding rays of glare that are magnified by flat surfaces such as snow, water and pavement. Oakley polarization technology utilizes a liquid infusion process to bond the polarizing filter at the molecular level. That's how we eliminate the haze and distortion found in conventional technologies and achieve the best polarized sunglasses on the planet. Lightweight, stress resistant O Matter® frame material Extended wrapped frame geometry to fit medium to large faces Metal icon accents Sculpturally integrated hinge mechanisms with dual cam action Dual lens polaric ellipsoid geometry (two lenses cut from single toric shield) Plutonite® lens material blocks 100% of all UVA, UVB, UVC and harmful blue light Optional Iridium® coatings and lens tints to reduce glare and heighten contrast XYZ Optics® for maximized clarity at all angles of vision, even at lens periphery Exceeds ANSI Z87.1 standards for impact and optical requirements Minimized glare via technology that produces the best polarized lenses on the planet Available with Oakley prescription lenses (+2.00 through -4.00 combined power)

wear it and forget it
Date: October 25, 2009
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Optimal clarity, No glare
Great pair. These are actually my favorite pari to wear. They are so comfortable and light that I sometimes forget I'm even wearing them. When I drive, the sun does not even enter the sides due to the awesome flap design below by the arm and lens. I've had these for over a year now and the only problem I have is it got scratched and its right in my view...time for another pair.

Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Optimal clarity Cons: Fogs up
These are really good looking, but besides that, the optical clarity is really good, they feel comfortable after a couple of hours and they look good with almost anything you wear. I let my younger brother borrow them when he goes out to the skate park - that means they look good on anyone.

A good buy
Date: July 8, 2009
Pros: Comfortable, Optimal clarity, No glare Cons: lets in a little light
I was choosing between the Oilrigs or the Gascans. I liked the Oilrigs because the lens was one, not two seperate ones. I also liked them because they had the huge sides, but they were so expensive (because I wanted polarized). So then these caught my eyes. They were fairly priced for polarized glasses and they had some bulk on the sides. The only turn off was how the lens werent one huge one. Other than that everything is perfect, its a perfect fit, the clarity is amazing, and there is no glare at all.

Date: June 3, 2009
Pros: Comfortable
I'm a regatta sailor and I never go on the water without my Oakley Polarized. Now I purchase a pair of Gascan polar. It's a great product. It allows me to see mainsail perfectly and do a perfect regulation.
