MINUTE 2.0 Polished Black/Black Iridium (04-515)

MINUTE 2.0 Sunglasses You know the drill — you find shades that seem perfect for you, you try them on, and then you wonder who’s behind the international conspiracy to make sunglasses fit only giant faces. Most manufacturers have a one-size-fits-all mentality. Not Oakley. Our MINUTE® eyewear is specifically designed for small to medium size faces, and version 2.0 gives you the comfort, protection and performance of the best eyewear on the planet. MINUTE® 2.0 uses the patented innovations of HIGH DEFINITION OPTICS® (HDO®) to beat all standards of ANSI Z87.1, the industry’s yardstick for optical precision. Even the world’s best lenses can’t perform if they’re covered with oily smears and water sheens, so we added a permanent coating called Oakley HYDROPHOBIC™ to repel rain, sweat, skin oils and dust. The pure PLUTONITE® lenses filter out 100% of all UV, not just UVA and UVB. Impact resistance meets all standards of ANSI Z87.1, so if a car tire kicks up a pebble while you’re biking along the roadside, or if the tip of a ski menaces your face on the slope, you’ll have impact protection that exceeds the demands of pro athletes. You’ll also have the all-day comfort of lightweight O MATTER® frame material and a Three-Point Fit that uses supple UNOBTAINIUM® components to increase grip with perspiration. If you’re tired of frames that stick out at the sides or slide off at the worst possible moment, go with a design that fits your anatomy like it fits your lifestyle. MINUTE® 2.0 is available with a range of options including IRIDIUM® lens coatings that balance light and reduce glare, lenses ACTIVATED BY TRANSITIONS® to darken in response to light, and even the best polarized lenses on earth. If you need corrective optics, this frame can be fitted with Oakley prescription lenses. Durability and all-day comfort of lightweight, stress-resistant O Matter® frame material Comfort and Performance of Three-Point Fit that holds lenses in precise optical alignment Optical precision and impact resistance meet ANSI Z87.1 optical and basic impact standards UV protection of Plutonite® lens material that filters out 100% of UVA / UVB / UVC & harmful blue light up to 400 nm Includes Oakley’s proprietary smudge proof hydrophobic coating which resists water, oils perspiration and dust Patented hydrophilic Unobtanium® earsocks ensure a snug, secure fit Metal icon accents Designed for small to medium Faces Glare reduction and tuned light transmission of Iridium® lens coating (optional) Available with Oakley prescription lenses (+2.00 through -4.00 combined power)

Best Sunglasses Ever!
Date:July 16, 2010
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Optimal clarity, No glare
These were my first pair of prescription sunglasses and I absolutely loved them! They fit my face perfect, looked great on and with any style of clothing.
I chose the black iridium and polarized lenses, and they always cut through any glare. I had these for over a year and hardly a scratch on them. They did get one small scratch, but when I put them on I couldn't even tell there was a scratch there. GREAT coating and durability!
I was just sick when I lost them while camping... they were like my second skin and now I am completely lost without them. So, I am buying another exact pair!

Best Pair of Sunglasses EVER
Date:July 8, 2010
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Optimal clarity, No glare
Cons: Fogs up
Quite Simply Awesome. In the winter when the sun hits the snow or in the heat of the summer ont he golf course, these are the greatest sunglasses. No glare, light weight and fit perfectly. On extremely hot days they will fog, but that is because they fit wonderful.

Date:June 27, 2010
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Optimal clarity, No glare
The best pair of sunglasses I've ever owned. Had for two years and still look brand new. Dropped several times and never broke even after knocking them off my head and fallen to the asphalt. Would recommend to anyone. Oakley is the best pair of sunglasses ever constructed. Period.

Good styling, OK fit
Date:February 24, 2010
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Optimal clarity, No glare
Cons: no rubber nose pieces
Bought these as a pair of casual sunglasses I could wear everyday without the screaming bright colors of my other Oakleys. The fit is only OK with these. The earsocks have the grippy rubber, but there aren't any for the nose. Because of this, if you're in a hot climate and sweating a bit the sunglasses will tend to slip down your nose a little bit. The rubber earpieces aren't enough to grip it up. Keep in mind I'm asian and our noses are different (aka smaller) so this may be a minor contributing factor to this.
Overall the styling is good, quality is good. The frames (meaning: lenses) are smaller and will probably look better on smaller faces rather than larger ones.
I wouldn't recommend them solely because of the lack of rubberized nose pieces.

Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Optimal clarity
I own a pair of the Cinder Red Minute 2.0. The frames of these sunglasses look dark indoors, but when the Thermonuclear Furnace is bright, these sunglasses catch fire showing their brilliant red color. I would suggest the Minute 2.0 sunglasses to anyone that is looking for a light weight, casual, everyday pair of the world's best!

Good Except For Lense Scratches
Date:January 10, 2010
Pros: Comfortable
Cons: lenses scratch easily, lose contrast in direct sunlight
I've used them for 6 months for driving and occassionally for running and softball.
Good Fit - better than previous Oakley's of similar style: not too tight, eyes in center of lenses. However, could benefit from non-slip nose pieces.
Nice Style - I chose them for a casual/sporty look. The glossy black frames would look good with any casual/sporty clothes and any lense colors.
The black iridium (non-polarized) lenses are good for indirect bright sunlight, but when sun shines almost directly into my face, contrast is lost, making it difficult to see anything (like a softball).
My biggest complaint is with the lense coating which scratches if a fly lands on it. And the pinnacle of the lense curvature, which is most vulnerable to scratching, is exactly in the center of my vision. My glasses fell 2 ft onto dirt/clay ground a month after purchasing them and one lense was ruined from a scratch in the center of my vision. Replacement lenses are $50+ which I refuse to pay.
In the past, similar "rubber" earsocks on Oakley's I've owned have turned gummy and torn in 1-2 years. So far these are OK; although I'm wearing them less because of the lenses.
