These are by far the best lenses for Freshwater fishing. I am an avid Bass fisherman and currently work for an Oakley Store. Every time someone comes in looking for a fishing lens, this is always the first choice I show them. Since I work for Oakley, I am fortunate enough to have tried most of the polarized colors and this beats them all by a mile! It gives you unbelievable contrast on the water! If you are like me, it is hard grinding it all day out there on the lake and it really makes a difference with a quality pair of shades. This is one of the lightest polarized colors that we make so it will not block as much light as a Deep Blue lens will. This is one reason why it so great for Freshwater. I, myself have sensitive eyes like most people out there but with the Polarization of the lens, the glare is not a factor. With a lighter lens, it makes it much easier to spot fish in the water. If you think about water, the deeper you go, the darker it gets because the light cannot penetrate that far. So with a lighter contrast lens like Amber Polarized, it brightens things up and allows you to see even further into the water. Another reason this lens works so well for lakes is with the greenish tint of the lens, it allows you to spot bass in weed beds much easier. It basically makes the weed beds jump out from everything else and separates the colors in the bed to allow you to see them much easier. Hope this helps and good luck out on the lake!
