Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Optimal clarity, No glare
This review is for the X-Metal/Black Iridium colorway.
For sure, the Romeo 2 are not my favorite model of the X-Metal line-up. Let me tell you why :
I've always loved the desin of the Romeo 1, Mars and Juliet/X-metal XX. What I really liked with those models were the earstems with the elliptic O subtly designed in the front part, and the lens strongly maintained in a full titanium frame.
Romeo 2 broke all this: they received a metal logo and a half frame.
But that's all a matter of design, and once you are used with it, the sensations can take place.
I finally bought one. And believe me, once you've tried them, you'll love them for ever !
Fit is awesome, lens offers a very good coverage with an optimum protection and clarity with no glare (especially with the Polarized ones). With respect to the design, only the nosebridge reminds the X-metal line-up, but the stems are so nicely shaped, with organic curves and logos inserted in its.
I also have the feeling that they are even lighter than my previous X-metals.
My only regret would be the name of the model. Maybe this would have been more fitting to call them Half Juliet or Juliet 2.0, but I'm not really convinced about Romeo 2.0 ... just my humble opinion.
