Pros: Comfortable, Optimal clarity, makes a statement, comes with 2nd sized set of nose pieces
Cons: not good style off the bike, wish it came with the photochromic w/white frame
I purchased my first pare of photochromic jawbones yesterday. I am a very serious cyclist and these glasses in my opinion are designed just for that, and in a large respect just for cycling. I tried them on and immediately on my first ride on them I was impressed. It is the small details that set these glasses apart as cycling ones. The shortened ear arms have been structured around being just short enough so as it doesn't interfere with your plastic helmet strap that glasses in the past have had some interference with. Next I noticed that the lenses are tall enough so that when you are riding in those hard efforts with your head tilted down and you are expecting to be able to see out of the top of your field of vision, these allow you to do that. Granted the bottom of the frame will take a little time to get used to when glancing down at your cycling computer but I took them on my second ride today and it doesn't even bother me. They also have the convenient frame drop out making the lenses easy to switch and keep perfectly clean. And the cherry on top for me is the amazing photochromic lenses that these particular ones come with. Already I put them to use in both my rides since the rides were in late afternoon, when at times you are staring right into the sun or riding through dark shadows because dusk is rolling in, and the lens compensates for you. And for those of you who have used the racing jackets in the past these are very similar but with all those special touches that I mentioned earlier. I would not recommend them for a style off the bike since they are not the most appealing in normal clothes granted they don't loose any of there quality that way. But they are for making a statement and in the cycling world that is truly what they do!
