The best all-round lens

Pros: universal use
Cons: not good for extremely bright sunlight

I still consider the Persimmon lens to be the best universal lens for winter sports. If you only want to get one lens - get this one! It covers a huge range of conditions from foggy to sunny. The only time when it can't perform perfectly is on an extremely sunny day, when a lot of light also reflects from the snow. In such case, your eyes will probably hurt after some time and you will realise it's time to switch to a darker lens (VR28 Black Iridium in my case).
