Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Optimal clarity, No glare, "system" of protection, economy
I shoot in many firearm competions and have for decades. The M-Frame lenses offer excellent clarity, the best protection from UV rays, and the size of the Heater lens offers the best protection from "bullet splatter" at steel matches. Additionally, I look at the M-Frame as a system. It may not have been intentional, but it is a system that allows the shooter to interchange lenses based on the light conditions presented at the match or practice session. Instead of having to buy many sets of glasses, Oakley helped me save some money by allowing me to interchange lenses in the same frame! In every one of my five shooting bags you will find; the large ballistic M-Frame case with Ice Iridium (10% light transmission), persimmon (55%) for partly cloudy to cloudy, and Clear for dark cloudy days. The lens changes are simple to do and having the lens to deal with any light condition helps me stay on top of my game!
While I've focused on the lenses I need to bring up one more key point. The frame rests gently against your face and creates a barrior to prevent ejected brass from falling behind your glasses and burning your eye and cheek. Think it can't happen with other brands? Ask me how I know! It was one of the key reasons I moved to Oakley...many years ago.
