Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Optimal clarity, No glare, won't fog, easy to install, most worn shield among nfl players, brian dawkinswears one(hard hitter & eye problems
Cons: none at all!!!!!
Ok I've been wearing the clear shield for two years and this year will be my third. It didn't take long for me to adkust to wearing mine. I play the offensive and defensive line, specifically left guard and d-tackle. This shield is better than the competition because first off is not a straight angle but a curved shape which really is great benefit, second it comes in a variety of different tints, it dosen't really scratch that easy and take it from me because I'm a lineman(and I make alot of contact with my opponents helmet and facemask in the trenches) and although I didn't use my shield for practice I used it twice a week playing high school freshman and jv football and it's still going to make a nice practice visor this season. I would recommend buying a bottle of oakley's afr solution which you can find online, this cleans and rejuvenates the anti fog and scratch resistance coating on the shield. If you clean your shield with this every week or so I promise you I won't fog and it will be tough to scratch. This shield is very durable(Inever cracked one) and holds up well. They will protect your eyes from dirt grass anything that could get in your eyes,my field is the new style turf with the little black beads and the shield protects you from getting them in your eyes. My clear shield even helps with glare and sun so I can only imagine what the tinted models do. Plus like I said earlier you can really see well out of these shields and it make things clearer. Plus they fit just about any helmet/mask and they look totally awesome! The new models are also available with extra "O" tabs for your teams color which other shields like nike or ua don't have and they are most likley even nicer.
