Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Optimal clarity, No glare
I custom built my Gascan's and they are great... It is totally worth the money to get all what you want on them. And DEFINATELY get polorized lenses, they are so worth the additional money. I have no trouble with the sliding off my nose or fitting to tight for that matter. These are my 4th pair of Oakley's and completely worth it.

GASCAN SUNGLASSES
Date: September 23, 2009
Pros: Optimal clarity, No glare Cons: Uncomfortable
Style looks awesome. Got a lot of compliments. Polarized lenses work well and are excellent. Glasses get uncomfortable to wear, and don't sit on nose properly. Due to the larger size, after a while they tend to hurt my ears. Number one complaint was that the lenese began to what I think is called "delaminization" Lense began to peal around the edges and one of the lenses began to show chips off the first layer. I am know without my glasess for who knows how long, and I had to pay shipment, tracking fee, and insurance. Not what I expected from Oakley since the gascans were my second pair of Oakleys I had to send back.

Pros: Optimal clarity, No glare, great for outdoor use, can take a beating Cons: Uncomfortable, uncomfortable if on for a long time
They are good glasses. They make a creaky sound if they are twisted and i fell like they could bust in half, but they haven't yet. Polarized is worth every penny. The matte frame can get dirty easily from sweat and you can really see it. I have a normal face, but after a while they get uncomfortable to wear. And they don't sit on my nose perfect, but good enough that no one can tell. BUY THEM!

Wonderful Sunglasses
Date: July 19, 2009
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Optimal clarity, No glare, look great, oakley quality, 1 year warranty
I've always been the type of person to wear "cheapo" sunglasses... never paying more than $30 for a pair of sunglasses. We were in Orlando at SeaWorld last week and I tried a pair of the Bob Burnquist Gascans on just for the heck of it since I've never worn a pair of authentic Oakleys and I fell in love with Oakleys. When we got back to Jacksonville my girlfriend took me to the mall and she bought me a pair of the polarized Oakley Gascans... easily the most expensive glasses I've even worn. I'm looking forward to wearing them at the Jaguars hame games this season -- they are wonderful shade. They look great, you can look directly at bright lights and even the sun without even squinting. I would definitely recommend these to anyone.

Great in form and function
Date: July 17, 2009
Pros: Optimal clarity, No glare, blocks indirect light, polarized, won't fall off your face, motogp riders wear them Cons: pricey for what they are
A lot of people get sunglasses just to look cool, if that's your goal, try them on, they look great.
For those interested in functionality, read on. I've had my Gascans for a little over a week. The wrap around style of this frame is excellent. The thickness of the arms near the lenses blocks out direct light without interfering with your peripheral vision (great for driving when the sun is low on the horizon and coming in thru your side windows). Polarized lens are a must if your intended use is driving or fishing....probably many other activities as well. If you've never tried polarized lenses before, you're missing out. I believe most retailers give you a 90 day trial on these, so do yourself a favor and try the following test.
Hop in your car on a bright sunny day, notice when you look thru the windshield, you can see the reflection of your dash in the windshield. Put on some polarized lenses and watch that reflection disappear. Then look at the road, a shiny blacktop is the best demo...notice the glare of the sun, put on the lenses again and notice you see the road, not the sun. These are just some basic demonstrations, you may not always notice what the lenses are doing for you, but they're doing it. The elimination of glare reduces eye strain and fatigue.
That being said....I don't know if there are different levels of polarization, but I think my Revo shades did a slightly better job. I noticed this when looking at the road glare, and then cocking my head from one side to another. The Revo's seemed to have a greater effect...but I'm not gonna ding Oakley on this until I've done more testing.
I can't speak to the durability of them as I've only had them a week. When you look at the inside, they do look rather cheap...maybe simple is a better word. The machining is flawless, they just seem to be missing something...like I get the feeling MacGyver would've preferred something with a little more integrity to it if he had to make a crossbow out of a pair of sunglasses.
The fit is pretty good. I do feel them squeezing my head a tad bit behind my ears. I don't notice it all the time but it's there. I'm OK with this because I hate it when frames are so loose they slide off your face when you look down. I don't see that being an issue with these.
In summary, I'm pretty happy with the Gascans...and the wife thinks they're hot too...bonus!

Great first pair of Oakley sunglasses
Date: July 1, 2009
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Optimal clarity, No glare Cons: just a little bit too tight for me.
I was never the type to go for "expensive" sunglasses. I decided to take a dive after trying on polarized sunglasses that weren't Oakley. The other pair was okay, but once I tried on the Gascans, it was over. I had to get them. Not only do they look great, the polarized lenses are outstanding. The only problem with these glasses is that once you have them, you won't settle for anything less than Oakley. Polarized is the way to go.

My favorite!
Date: May 30, 2009
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Optimal clarity, No glare
I just got a pair of Gascan's and I love them! I have a slightly larger head and face then most and they fit me great. They are a lot lighter then the Maui Jim's I'm replacing them for. This is the fourth pair of Oakley sunglasses I have owned and now I don't think I'll ever go with another brand but Oakley. They never let me down...and if I scratch a lens I can get a replacement...not like other companies. I love my Gascan's and would recommend them to anyone!

Worth the money
Date: May 29, 2009
Pros: Durable, Optimal clarity, No glare Cons: Uncomfortable, Obstructed views
As with all Oakley lenses, these are worth the money. The oakley polarized lenses surpass any lens on the market.
My only complaint would be that after a while they tend to hurt the top of my ears. Although my ears are big, none of my other Oakleys have this issue.
